I will miss you…
Colleen West is retiring April 1, 2026
After 21 years as a Marriage and Family Therapist, 11 years training clinicians, and 7 years as and IFS Clinical Consultant, I will be retiring April 1, 2025. Between now and then I have space for individual consultations with seasoned professionals, familiar with Trauma Informed Internal Family Systems.
If you are a seasoned clinician or practitioner who is craving more clarity or connection around a tough case, I may be able to help.
If you have super ambitious parts that are hungry to expand your mental health career, I may be able to mirror and encourage those aspirations.
Meet Colleen
I am an IFS Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant. I have appointments for one, two, or three individual consultations, weekdays PST. I love to help seasoned clinicians explore tough clinical questions. I also help mental health professionals work to manifest their professional dreams. A book you want to publish? A consultation practice to develop? My fee is $250 for 60 minutes.
Please be aware I do not offer ongoing consultation and I do not provide consultation for IFS Certification hours or Approved Consultant hours.
I have been lucky enough to study with Richard Schwartz, Chris Burris, Cece Sykes, Philip Manfield, and Janina Fisher; I am gifted daily by the brilliant writings of Martha Sweezy, Joanne Twombly, Frank Anderson, Tamala Floyd, Bessel van der Kolk, Patricia Papernow, Michelle Glass, and so many others. Although my primary lens is Internal Family Systems, I integrate attachment theory, Sensorimotor, and a bit of EMDR therapies into my trainings and consultation, as needed.
I am a graduate of the University of California San Diego in Political Science, and hold a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Names University, Oakland, CA. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (MFC40568).
I strive to be antiracist and culturally aware. I am an LGBTQ++ and neurodivergent affirming consultant. I use pronouns she/her.
