I will miss you…

Colleen West is retiring April 1, 2026

After 21 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, 15 years training clinicians, and 7 years as an IFS Clinical Consultant, I will be retiring April 1, 2026.

Colleen West, LMFT

Saying goodbye…
and thank you.

This vocation has offered me a deep satisfaction beyond my wildest dreams but it is time for me to move on to the next chapter of my life. I have worked since I got my first job at Shakey’s Pizza at 15—that’s 50 years. As my system becomes less burdened, I find I want to play more, make more art, and enjoy friends, family, and the natural world more. And as the ultimate gift to myself and my ADHD brain, I want to learn to live without the relentless burden of the clock, too many emails to return, and too many hats to wear in single every day.

I have been lucky enough to study with Richard Schwartz, Chris Burris, Cece Sykes, Philip Manfield, and Janina Fisher. I have been gifted with the brilliant writings of Martha Sweezy, Joanne Twombly, Frank Anderson, Tamala Floyd, Bessel van der Kolk, Patricia Papernow, Michelle Glass, Patricia De Young, and so many others. I want to thank all my teachers, my remarkable students, and my hardworking clients. I take a part of each of you with me.
