I love my work.

I am unabashedly optimistic about life and the work I do. I love my work with clients and clinicians.

Clients–I am so sorry, but I am not taking new weekly clients. I do have a limited number of ‘therapy intensives’, 100 minute sessions, in which we work on specific problems using a combination of parts work and EMDR. However, these are not right for everyone. I take a careful look at both your history and the things you would like to change. Some therapies are fast–others take longer and cannot be done in the shorter-term ‘therapy intensive’.

Getting Started.

When you decide you might like to pursue a therapy intensive with me, the first thing we need to do is make time for a short conversation on the phone.  I want to know what you want to work on, and why you’re seeking therapy now.  We both need to find out if I have experience treating your sorts of concerns, and if our schedules will mesh. Therapy intensives are generally scheduled on Thursdays. Sometimes EMDR is the right treatment for you, and sometimes working with your internal parts is the approach I choose, or some combination of the two. My fee is $190 for 50 minutes.

The best way to contact me is by sending me an email.  Please put “therapy intensive” in the subject line, and include your phone number and several good times to call you back.  This will help me get back to you in a timely way.

Location Location Location.

My practice is located in the San Francisco East Bay in the city of El Cerrito, near the Del Norte BART station.  I see clients from Berkeley, El Cerrito, Albany, Oakland, Alameda, San Francisco, and many cities in Marin County as well.  If you are out of my geographic area and you are looking for EMDR, go to EMDRIA.org and search for an EMDR trained therapist by your zip code.
