This series of streamable classes is designed to help you deepen your skills so you can treat Complex PTSD and structurally dissociated systems with more confidence. A working knowledge of Internal Family Systems is a prerequisite, because this training will not be teaching basic IFS.
What is Trauma-informed Internal Family Systems?
It’s therapy that embraces the ground-breaking advances of IFS, but adds a deep understanding of the traumatized brain and integrates trauma-informed interventions for clients with Complex Trauma. It utilizes key interventions from neurobiology, polyvagal theory, attachment theory, Sensorimotor, and a bit of EMDR—to help complex clients feel safer, and begin to access Self in small, manageable increments. It emphasizes the importance of the therapist’s Self and working with therapist parts throughout the treatment. If you have clients who have trouble doing IFS, this may be the course for you.
Classes will cover IFS-informed ways to assess, stabilize reactive neurobiology, address early attachment rupture, as well as parts mapping, meeting place for parts, and therapist parts. Classes about how to treat emotional neglect, addictions, and legacy burdens will be included. Classes are now live!

Increase your skill with Complex Trauma…
Consultation groups are not enough immersion for therapists to go from knowledge of, to the embodied practice of trauma-informed IFS treatment. These courses are designed to bridge the gap between a working knowledge of IFS and working with Complex Trauma in your office. It will include lecture, exercises to do as you watch, and video demonstrations.
Curriculum
You will learn a comprehensive curriculum infused with an awareness of Self and therapist parts: assessment, attachment repair, and trauma resolution, as well as some focus on shaping one’s career as a mental health professional. Mostly IFS, with a some attachment theory, neurobiology, and Sensorimotor interventions will be utilized.
